Our Tennessee Artisans

Cortney Black of Highway Homestead

Highway Homestead was created from a necessity to eat clean. They want the cleanest, freshest food for their family of five and hope they can provide your family with some as well! That’s why they do what they do! They believe our community and land benefit from small agriculture. They try to live as sustainably as possible, and hope that inspires others to join them in this real food movement.

East TN

Hannah Campbell of Feed & Dwell

As a child, you could often find her at her art desk or in a tree. She’s always felt pulled to both art and science, and when the time came to choose a career path, she chose science. She got a degree in nutrition and opened a practice as a health coach in the functional medicine space. But when her first baby came along, a nutrition practice didn’t seem to fit her anymore. She was craving something more creative. She started painting with watercolors during nap times, and fell head over heels for art again. Feed & Dwell is a way for her to bring her loves of art and science together. She strives to create beautiful pieces and learning materials that inspire a love of nature and real food. Here’s to finding wonder in the everyday things!

Jessica of Simply Jessica

Middle TN

A self-taught artist based out of a small town in Tennessee. She’s a lover of Mondays, coffee, and simple living. She believes in kindness and grace. Her passion for florals runs deep, and she is hopelessly sentimental. Her desire is to bring you pretty products that will encourage and make a lasting impression on your heart.

Nathan Vaughan of Nathan Vaughan Woodwork

East TN

Nathan has been around woodworking from early childhood and soon was busy making custom pieces for clients in the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe as well as attending several arts and crafts shows each year. In 2014, his work was featured in the HGTV dream home in Truckee, CA.

In October of 2020 a move was in store for the Vaughan family. With (soon to be) four children, moving east was on the families mind and they made their way across the nation landing in Greeneville, Tennessee where they were able to purchase a thirty acre farm. “Moving across the nation was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Leaving a successful business in California and my home state was tough but I know that God has big plans for our family and my business”.

Nathan’s furniture is available to ship nationwide via freight and he also takes on many types of carpentry projects such as wood ceilings, trim work, wood/composite decks, and built-in cabinetry.

Meghan McCrary

East TN

Meghan McCrary is the owner and illustrator of her self titled brand based in Knoxville, TN. Meghan graduated college with a degree in architecture but quickly realized working in an office wasn't for her. She missed working with her hands, sketching, designing, and keeping weird hours. With the encouragement of her mom (who also owns a small business), Meghan started her own business in 2010 making stationery and designing custom invitations. That business quickly expanded to include all sorts of giftable items like magnets, kitchen towels, and accessories. Meghan's products are largely inspired by the funny things people do and say in the South. She uses bright colors, puns, and cynicism to create relatable items you'll want to send to everyone you love (and maybe some you don't).

Dr. K of Dr. K’s Tenn Cans

East TN

Dr. K’s home has been Chattanooga, Tennessee for over 20 years. Growing up in a small rural North Carolina community, Dr. K’s dad operated the classic small town country store.  Beginning in 1946, Kenny Tussey built their family store into the center of the Arnold community’s fabric.
On the offer were the expected lunch, snacks, gas and groceries – plus good ole country advice.  When time and seasonal work brought stress to his customers, Ken offered credit so people could survive until the next pay day.
This tradition of family and community support went on until Kenny’s passing in August of 2020. In tribute to Kenny Tussey’s service to neighbors and community, a portion of proceeds from each Dr. K’s 6-pack will be donated to their local area food bank.  As reminder of a life devoted to kindness and service, when you eat – others eat.

Alison Rose of Alison Rose Vintage

East TN

She's been a lover of words for as long as she can remember—majoring in English in college, obsessively collecting stationery, and writing letters to friends and family for more than 25 years.
